What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy teaches the importance of properly prepared whole foods that nourish the body and help heal from or prevent chronic disease and dysfunction in the body. I am trained in the following nutritional foundations: whole food diet, digestion, blood sugar, fatty acids, minerals and hydration. The consequences of poor foundational health have wreaked havoc with our health and facilitate chronic disease. I am also trained in the consequences of the foundations of good health being neglected: immune and allergy, detox, cardiovascular, endocrine dysfunction, joint pain, mental health and weight and obesity.

In order for me to best assess your nutritional deficiencies, I begin with a series of intake forms that help me to formulate a protocol based on your bio-individuality. When we meet for the first time, I will have a protocol prepared for you based on the intake forms.

Our first meeting is always about “diet.” In order to begin healing, we must get you off the Standard America Diet of processed foods high in sugar and carbohydrates on to nutrient dense whole foods. For those of you already eating a whole food diet, but still experiencing dysfunction in the body, I will use my skills and reports to asses what needs to be tweaked in order to achieve optimal health.

I look forward to working with you!
